This might sound counterintuitive…
But a good sign that your marketing is working at scale?
An uptick in trolls
and haters.
It’s a common theme with our clients at Frisson Media.
We released a bunch of new ads for a client earlier this year.
A few days after launching them, their team reached out concerned about the increase in negative comments.
Funnily enough, sales had also increased significantly since the ads rolled out.
They were up nearly 25% on their last 30-day period, and March was officially our second-highest month of all time (just behind BFCM from last year)
The uptick in trolls and haters reinforces the fact that ads are working.
More people are seeing them.
The brand is expanding beyond the niche it’s been operating in over the last few years…
And making its way into the big bad mass market.
The uptick in sales in the weeks following the new ads proved that it aint just haters trolling in the comments…
It’s also new traffic engaging with ads and buying in the process.
Which is a great sign.
Trolls and haters are inevitable in this game.
If you have a legitimate product that solves real pain points, you have nothing to worry about.
An uptick in these types of people probably means you are doing the right thing.
And your sales will prove it.
